Here's our trip to Seaside with Aunt E on July 27. I can't figure out why these are in reverse order either... I tried to fix it.

birthday party!

Me: Whose birthday is it tomorrow?
A: A!
Me: And how old is A going to be tomorrow?
A: THREE!
Me: Are you sure? How old is A going to be tomorrow?
A: FOURTEEN!!!
Me: Boy, they say it goes fast, but this is ridiculous.

**Sigh**

We've been super busy in the past week. A's birthday party was on Saturday, and we had a great turnout and a lot of fun. A played in the pool, hung out with the friends and family, and even blew out his birthday candles.

Aunt E stayed with us after the party, so we've been really busy since too! We went to Bepah's to see him, Aunt Stacey, and Aunt E. On Monday, we went to the boardwalk. There, A tried a soft shelled crab's leg, and seemed to like it. We put him on a few rides, including one that required him to go WITHOUT us. He LOOOOVED every ride, but we were so surprised that he did so well on the ride alone. He walked right over to it, let the woman strap him in, and had a blast. He kept saying "Bye Bye, Mommy, Bye, Bye Daddy," every time he passed us.

Yesterday, he went to the airport to drop off Aunt E. They only got to see a few planes, but A seemed to have a good time.

As far as vocabulary, A's is exploding. He likes to say Lawnmower and weed wacker, Where'd Daddy go?, air conditioner, among other things. He helped M install a ceiling fan, and so he points to "new fan," and says "I helped!"

Tomorrow, we celebrate Father's Day and take Daddy to a Mets game.

Our day with the President.

Yesterday, we went to a rally for Governor Corzine in which President Obama also made an appearance. We waited on a lot of lines, but in the end, got a pretty good spot on the lawn at the Arts Center. Here are the pictures we took. They aren't in any particular order, since they were taken on two different cameras (the one of the helicopter looks way farther away than it was), and I haven't yet taken out the poor quality shots, but we got some great ones too!

Thanks to Susie for telling me that I can use Photobucket instead! YAY! So I tried out the automatic upload, which didn't put these pictures in any kind of order. These pictures are over the past week, when we cleaned the house, went to Grammi and Grampy's, went to Susan's party, and went to the beach!

My this, My that

We have officially reached the MY stage. That's MY truck, MY Mommy, MY OCEAN! We went to Petco yesterday, and I took A back to the grooming area while M paid, and we had an official tantrum when A had to leave MY Doggy.

On the flip side, he is VERY interested in helping. If I am using the Swiffer, he needs to do it too. If I am sweeping, or watering flowers, or clipping, or anything like that, he wants to help. Yesterday, M replaced the ceiling fan in the kitchen, and A even helped him do that. Now, will A help M install the shed?
